Oregon Junco

Oregon Junco... a small bird from the Sparrow species. They make their homes in the cooler climates of Oregon. A fact that we have yet seen Springtime!

So... why has this little bird been tapping on our windows for the past 12 days? The first day he started tapping I thought he was eating bugs. Then, I thought he was seeing his reflection. He acts like he wants in the house. Had he been domesticated at one time? He clings to the screens and sings his little heart out.

This little creature taps on our windows all day long! It was cute 10 days ago. He also follows me from room to room. If I'm in the family room, he'll tap in there. If I'm in the kitchen he'll tap in there. For the past few mornings, he taps (at 6:00 am, I might add!) on our bedroom window.

The kids have named him Juno. He is very precious and he sings beautifully... I just wish I knew what the little guy wanted. It's a bit on the freaky side... especially for those of us that remember Albert Hitchcock's "Birds" movie.

Juno will let Hunter walk right up to the window. They look at each other with fascination. As I took this picture, he flew to the feeder.

Take time this week to see God's creations & be glad. Love, the Knox5
