Scott's Whitetail Deer

Scott & his dad, Roger, recently returned from a week of hunting in eastern Oregon. On the last day of their stay Scott snagged this great Whitetail. They usually bring Mule deer home so this is a treat.

There is a bit of a controversy as how to describe the antlers. Since most Whitetail are located east, the points are counted all together... so, it would be a 11 pt. (plus trash). Here in the NW we count points per antler, so we would call it a 6x5... if we didn't count the tiny abnormal spikes at the base. There are at least 2 of those.

No matter how we say it, its a blessing from above. Our freezer is full & they came home safe & sound!
