I graduated from Stayton Union High School on June 9th, 1989. Since then they've removed the word "Union" from the title. Why? I have no idea... the school continues to intertwine up to four schools. High school & myself didn't go well together. I was way too quiet and so unsure of myself. I guess you could say I was afraid of my own shadow back then. I realize this is a stretch to the imagination for those of you that didn't know me then. I've come along way, baby!
So, imagine my surprise when a classmate comes to me in January and asks if I could help put the reunion together. Seriously?? You want the class wallflower to find classmates that she hasn't seen in 20 yrs? What do I say? Sure... how hard could that be?! "Oy!!"
Six months later all is over and it went extremely well. God brought sweet old friends to my aide. It was amazing to see this project come together as easy as it did. Another thing that was a blessing to see was that growing up has it's advantages. Maturity is an awesome thing!!
We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Eola Hills Wine Cellar in Rickreall. We must give kudos to Rich @ Eola. He worked with us effortlessly. When we barely had a deposit to give, he said no problem! I will forever be grateful for Rich & his staff... and we will definitely use them again! The family picnic took place in Sublimity. Thank God for beautiful weather & wonderful families to share the day with. God is good!!!

You girls ROCK!!

Whether you were quiet as a mouse, jock, or class clown, I feel it's important that everyone attend your class reunions. Life comes at us fast & time can be a blessing. I missed out on so much during school because of my lack of self confidence. This get together helped me heal some of those feelings... Growing up is a blessing!
Thank God for the small things in life!
