Mom & I attended the yearly Women of Faith Conference in Portland the 2nd weekend of October. I get asked often why we go every year & if the speakers talk about the same stuff each time. The answers are: It's amazing & addicting to be apart of something so amazing. No, they do not ever bore me with saying the same things over & over each year. It's always different and I always bring something completely different home with me.

This year the speakers & music artist were: Steve Arterburn, founder of WOF & New Life Ministries, Patsy Clairmont, Lisa Harper, Nicole C Mullen, Sandi Patty, Rich Stearns, Sheila Walsh, Lisa Whelchel, Ayiesha Woods and Northwest native, Marilyn Meberg.

Ever hear the saying "Don't judge a book by it's cover"? It also goes for "older" looking speakers. These people are amazing, funny as heck, down to earth, God fearing folks that struggle with earthly issues just as much as you & I do. God has given each one of them a servant's heart to boldly stand in front of thousands of people and say "I know what you're going through!"

If you ever get the chance to attend one of these conferences, please go!! You won't be sorry.
