Concert Weekend

This weekend we all stayed busy enjoying concerts at the Oregon State Fair. Saturday it was Girl's Night Out. Alex had received tickets for her birthday to see "High School Musical's" Vanessa Anne Hudgens. Her friends, Bethany, Taylor & Lindsay came along, as well as Bethany & Taylor's moms. Vanessa is beautiful!

She has a powerhouse voice & dances her heart out. As I looked around the audience, the average age of the girls looked to be around 9-10yrs old. I just wish celebrities could wear conservative clothing around young girls. They grow up soon enough.. Other than that, we all had a great time. Madison came along, too.

Vanessa & her dancers threw out a handful of trinkets into the crowd during the concert, some of them tank tops. The only shirt Vanessa tossed went over my head. As I turned to see all of these parents grabbing for it, it continued to bounce hand to hand until it landed in the empty seat next to me. I grabbed it and gave it to Madison. Talk about being high on life. You would have thought she won the lottery. Then we noticed that Vanessa had signed it herself. I was told this tank top goes on her bedroom wall. *giggles*

Sunday was our family's day at the fair. I secretly purchased tickets to Playhouse Disney's "Doodlebops" concert. Scott & the girls were not very excited at first, but last night they all said it was a fun day. Hunter thought it was very cool. I figured he sits for so many of the girls' events that it was time for an event for him. We sat in the 6th row. When parents would actually sit down we had great seats. My gripe: if your a parent & can still see sitting down, drop your rump so the kids behind you can see. That just has to be the rudest thing to do! I'm SO grateful I brought my zoom lens!
