When I asked the girls if they'd like to play hooky from school yesterday, they looked at me like I was going crazy. You could see the wheels in their heads trying to analyze what I had just asked. Was it a trick question? When they realized I was serious they were thrilled. I earned back my "Cool Mom" award. For the moment, anyway.
It has been 7 yrs since I visited the Tulip fields. I know this because my last pictures show Madison being right about 2yrs. Every year I plan to go... then the weather changes my mind. Mucking through the field to view water logged tulips isn't my idea of fun...especially with children in tow. When the weather report states an 80* day during Tulip season, it's best to go!
The day was breath taking. Mt. Hood, as always, was majestically sitting high in our beloved Oregon sky. It was an awesome experience. Heaven forbid we ever take these days for granted in the Great Northwest. Hunter loved running free in the sunshine & the girls couldn't believe how many tulips grew in one row. They might disagree with me, but I know they learned a thing or two while playing hooky with dear old Mom.
I ended up taking 108 pictures of our glorious day. The following are my favorites.
